Since Delta and Northwest are merged, they are offering a bonus to link the two FF accounts and you can also transfer miles for free between the accounts. Also till Mar 15 there is a 500 mile bonus for just linking the two accounts.
If you have miles on either of those, it is worth creating an account on the other and then link them up to earn free 500 bonus miles. Since Delta and NW are merging they are offering this option, but it (bonus) is only till Mar 15 or something.

If you dont have a NWA Worldperks account you can enroll on on NWA site within 2 mins, the only annoying part is u have to type email add twice , a security question asnwer twice and make sure to UNCHECK the Credit card offer at the bottom (NWA cards have annual fee from 1 yr itself..)

Haircuts for Five dollars?

Located at the HAMILTON SHOPPING PLAZA. Make a left from S Atherton if you are going from College Avenue area. I dont know if Empire charges different (higher) rates for girls so do double check the price. Do tip them atleast $1 if you feel they did a decent job.
Other places for hair cut that I have tried are:
-- Super cuts (On Beaver opp Panera) - $ 17, ok, depends on the day and time you go.
-- Rinaldi's (on Pugh St) - very ordinary, $12 when I went in 2007
-- For Men Only (on Beaver) - decent place, $ 18 price (free cheap beer if you are over 21)
Because of the name I think girls can't go there, but I am not 100% sure.
Also a friend of mine (girl) had once mentioned the guys at Silver Scissors as being quite good for styling and color work. Their online reviews seem good too.
